I cannot vouch for the English equivalents but there may be some equivalence in the hierarchies when comparing militaries:
An NCO Corporal is in charge of 9 privates
An NCO Sgt and 2nd Lt are in charge of 27 privates and 3 Corporals
A 1st Lt is in charge of 81 privates, 3 Sgts and 9 Corporals
The somewhat organic base unit of 9 privates and the corporal is a matter of function(s). Each unit has a water carrier, LAW, RPG, Mortar, Machine gun, grenade/rocket launcher, and unencumbered soldiers. At the next level of organization a medic and Comm are added. When these units are aggregated the hardware is multiplied.
Maybe it isn't possible but it sure would be nice if some friendlies rallied together and moved a portion of Ukraine's wheat across the EU border via truck/train etc.
They have, but there is only so much they can move by rail.

To make the point further, here is a picture of the victorious Soviet troops in the city of Mariupol, the one that they razed to the ground to order to "liberate".
The stuff on the flag says:
"Under the banner or marxism-leninism, under the leadership of the Communist Party, forward towards the victory of communism". Does it look to you like an old, museum, flag? At least to me it doesn't....
Another datum to prove how national-socialism and communism are just the two sides of the same pane of glass...

At least the American soldiers have not raped, pillaged and burned (not always in that order) their way across the world at least 50 times in the last 100 years. US punishes extremely harshly the servicemen accused of war crimes. The Russians decorate them, both now and previous times (WWI and WWII)

Slightly OT, but when you get that far left or right . . . I've always thought of things as a circle and you are on the opposite side of "moderate". The groups don't want to admit it, but when you listen to what they are saying, they sound very similar.
Exactly. Both the extreme Left and Right both hate government.
Additionally Russia has a larger non-white population than Ukraine. Russia's army has a higher percentage of non-white troops than the general population. Some people in western countries who only consume one flavor of news have said similar things. Jordan Klepper has just about made a career out of interviewing these folks in the US.
That flag may be new, but that tank is a museum piece. It looks like a T-64 (probably started the war as Ukrainian) and has no upgrades I can see. Almost all active Soviet/Russian designed tanks today have reactive armor.
Every army has some people who do war crimes, and some American have gotten away with it, but generally the US military takes a very dim view of it. Higher levels of US command have never ordered it or condoned it in modern times (the Mexican-American war era was a bit different).
Definitely. I've said similar for years. The extremes end up meeting on the backside with their craziness. Extreme political ideologies are usually terrible at governing because they have been so focused on their pet ideas they don't comprehend the complexities of actually running something.
Sometimes extremist ideas have become a good thing when they move to the center and cooler heads figure out how to make them work. Ideas like abolishing slavery and women voting were radical fringe ideas initially, but are accepted as normal pretty much worldwide today.

Under the kleptocracy, the Russians have been sending out managers from Moscow to run all the factories and other enterprises out in the furthest reaches of the country. The people who live in those regions never get promoted to upper management. A well paid factory worker makes about $500 USD a month while the manager of their factory makes millions a year.
The poorer paid managers have their families in Moscow and they fly back and forth to see them. The better paid managers keep their family in Europe and they fly out to see them once a month or so. When they have ratholed enough money, they leave Russia for good and emigrate to the country where their family lives. Then they either become apolitical or more liberal denouncing Russia's policies.
In the first post, it looks like a lot of those well paid managers who were flying out to see their families in Europe never returned. That's another brain drain on the Russian economy. Russia is still a very centralized economy. Without somebody at the top telling the workers what to do, the workers do nothing. The army is just a reflection of this.
When the people at the top leave, they need to promote less experienced people to replace them. There comes a point where they are running out of people giving orders and the economy will start to falter because the workers aren't being told what to do.
This is another sign Russia is in trouble and the rot goes all the way to the core. A kleptocracy is kind of like a pyramid scheme, they collapse when people start leaving or there are no more people to suck into the scheme. That's what is happening now on both ends. They were running out of easy wealth to plunder before the war and now the people who have made money from the scheme are leaving.

Would it be wrong to say, with the talent drain, Russia may massive economic implosion, 3 digit inflation, and suffer long term depression?
And will the latter spread to the rest of world?

Agreed, but highly doubt Russia's economic problems spread to the rest of the world. Simply put, their GDP is too small to have that kind of effect.

I was corrected on this in the past, that the Vietnam war was a pretty dark recent exception, especially in terms of rape (although some did stand trial):
