I would guess automated just based on the fact that almost all institutional / hedge fund trading is done by HFT algos now. Don’t know why it would be different in premarket.

Seems like this significantly limits correlation of pre-market price changes with recent or overnight news.

Does anyone know why the strike price range for 1/13 expiration are not as wide as 1/6 or 1/20 expiration? On ToS, the highest call strike for 1/13 is 255, and the lowest strike is 115. 1/6 expirations show strikes as high as 350 and as low as 100.

I would suppose the stock price has not moved as much since weekly 1/13 were opened. They can also be added on request.
They add strikes based on SP, but don't remove them.

1/20 are leaps.

What is the stock price growth of TSLA 2 weeks heading into OpEx (14 DTE blue) and 1 week after OpEx (green)?

For ex,

• OpEx is 2022-03-18
• (blue) TSLA is +8% from 2022-03-04 to 2022-03-18 (14 DTE) OpEx
• (green) TSLA is +11.62% from 2022-03-18 OpEx to 2022-03-25 (1 week later, Fri Close)

Wednesday seems to be a big recovery day. Well, at least last week. Today looks like a great Fibonacci trading day. I’m surprised @Yoona has time to post. I used the dip to close out a couple 12/30 -c190s and roll to 1/06 -c200s for $0.70 net, just beer money. Mostly sitting out because I have very little free cash for any buybacks and a year of living expenses in premiums in play at the 12/30 190 & 195 straddles. Need to wait for those to decay before doing any real trades. With today’s drop and confirmation of the rejection at 200, I still expect the SP to approach the 2-yr low again before 12/30. Unfortunately, this could be a problem for me because nearly all my cash is backing puts. I might be buying shares on 12/30. Edit: If this happens, I’m 400 shares over my goal, and will likely transition to FOTM CCs at <$1. I don’t know whether to wish that or not. GLTA.
