I don’t think they had FSD. If I were Hertz, the last thing I would want is a bunch of renters using FSD beta!

They would not be that stupid: FSD just does not exist and no-one knows when/if it will ever exist.

At least when I purchased in 2017, Tesla stated "Please note also that using a self-driving Tesla for car sharing and ride hailing for friends and family is fine, but doing so for revenue purposes will only be permissible on the Tesla Network, details of which will be released next year.". So Tesla seemed to take FSD seriously in 2017.

(Have been holding my breath since for the details to be released )

Regardless of the if/when, I very much doubt if this restriction would survive a legal challenge in the courts (at least in the US).
