you hit it on the nail. This is a problem for a hyper growth company that makes physical goods.
Might also be reason they didn't give 2014 guidance :/

wrong. product constrained can be as bad as demand constrained. At the end of the day, if you can't solve production ramp up, your top line is capped ...Production constraints good for shareholders and margins
not for company's with sky-high p/e ratio's.Production constraints good for shareholders and margins
Well the market doesn't seem to like what's being said, down 11% in after hours. Tomorrow will be a good day for those shorts like Nicu who shorted at 180.

I have to say there are positive tidbits, but for short term the CC isn't doing the magic. It seems they did get the Panasonic deal, but it still takes time to actually get enough cells and hence they still are limited in their production by the cells. The only big question is WHEN will they start to get 18650's en masse.
Elon keeps repeating "production constrained"... how is TSLA gonna solve it? Demand is a given... everyone knows that. the risk is production ramp up.
BREAKING: Tesla is building the world's biggest lithium ion battery factory someday, probably in USA, and raw materials are not a problem. Global domination plans to follow.
