Hi all
Circling the Met Blue MY. He originally been sniffing around the Met Silver but I passed a Blue yesterday and thought it was stunning!
Anyone have it in Blue? Happy with it? Pros and Cons if any? Get ya pics oot!
It’s a beaut
I definitely prefer these wheel trims then the originals. Although I have seen some originals sprayed in black.
Very nice. The angle makes your front wheel look massive in comparison to the rear!View attachment 935736
Love it but needs to be clean - just in that process here!
Both are beauts mate. Have you ever had the paint inspected to see if it is thinner than it should be? See we’ve always had white and have a white M3P as we speak, just fancied a better colour this time round. White is everywhere now.Have the blue Y and have the silver 3.
Both look good clean.
Silver has a metallic blue glint in bright sun, looks nice IMO.
Blue I don’t think is as thick paint. There are more stone chips on the bonnet than on the 3 but that could just be how the wife drives it??
With my time again, maybe have considered PPF?
Wife wants it wrapping so still may happen
It does, looks like a penny farthing! Weird angle surely.Very nice. The angle makes your front wheel look massive in comparison to the rear!
Cheers for the comments. Both are beauts mate. Have you ever had the paint inspected to see if it is thinner than it should be? See we’ve always had white and have a white M3P as we speak, just fancied a better colour this time round. White is everywhere now.
I had the 274bhp A4 Tdi previously, just looked like a bog standard A4
just looked like a bog standard A4
StunningThe only natural thing to do when you see another MY in the parking lot is to line it up for a photo op!
I love the Y in all colours (so long as it has inductions or black rims in general) but for me personally; the MY in blue just hits that little bit different.

(Taken in the winter, will take one in the sun so you can see the colour pop more)
I’ve found the white to be spot on mate, no issues at all.Cheers for the comments.
Haven't really seen the point of checking the paint depth. It is what it is in my book. Just an observation.
Agreeing with @QuanTim regarding the bigger wheels look better on any colour M3 or MY, but that again is a personal preference, hence my M3's Sports.
TBH if funds weren't an issue and they still had USS I'd swap my 3 for a MYP in white as I think I prefer the wife's Y?
I reckon the white multi coat might be more durable? How have you found it?
As regards them being everywhere, fully understand; however, I prefer my cars not to stand out or attract attention. Wolf in sheeps clothing kind of thing. I had the 274bhp A4 Tdi previously, just looked like a bog standard A4 but with slightly larger wheels. Pretty nippy,.. until the M3 that is!!
I still have my Nova with redtop 2.0 16V conversion at the back of my garage.Back in the ... ermmm ... long time ago! I had a Ford Escort XR3.
95 BHP !!!! 0-60 9.0s - and that was the Boy Racer Version
... I took it to Turbo Technics in Northampton and they "improved" that to 150 BHP.
Yup, mine had no other visual clues either ... came as a bit of a surprise when something superior had a go
