They are really pushing this one. Per TeslaFi, there are already 3x as many Model 3s on 36.2 as 36.1, and it first hit last night. 36.1 hit on 9/14...
which leads me to believe this is the Supercharging idle fees/in-car credit card payment option update.
Based on my experience with the previous version, that feature is not new with this update.I just updated.
I now see outside lane lines for the cars on either side of me. I don't remember seeing that before.
Can someone who hasn't updated check this out?
Whis is why these sites exist, much better data than forum posts -It's proven that people find value in knowing how wide spread any given update is being deployed. You'll have to suffer the pain of clicking the next page button a few times, sorry.
I've only had the car long enough to update once. Are update errors like this common?Got the famous software update error. Car drives but most functions are gone. Calling for a repush now
I agree and it is more than that. Someone who takes the time to post something/anything, is someone who is excited and motivated to communicate on these forums. Let's not demoralize people who want to be a part of a conversation. It's proven that people find value in knowing how wide spread any given update is being deployed. You'll have to suffer the pain of clicking the next page button a few times, sorry.
I would love to see them geofence the idle fees. This update is great for those playing by the rules, but does nothing to stop folks that unplug and stay parked (or never plug in) at a Supercharger.
Would be nice if you had to actually move your car 30 ft or something from any Supercharger.
All the same for me.I got this update last night (36.2). The commute was awesome:
This is the best update so far, especially if you have an early commute and use TACC and AutoPilot on your drive. Well, it is for me anyway!
- Following distances improved
- No Hard braking when following at 2 (car length).
- Lane changing is really smooth now.
Unfortunately, I don’t think geofencing has the accuracy required to support this. It would be too easy for Tesla to mistakenly charge idle fees when someone is in an adjacent space, possibly waiting for a charger to open.
It may be nice for Tesla to nag owners more on their phone if their once their charge is done or if someone reported their car as occupying a space and isn’t being charged when cars are waiting. Thinking the notification thing would have to be linked to a check that all or almost all chargers are being used, otherwise these notifications might be abused.
Same. Not really sure how this works.I am still on 32.6. Am I very behind?
