Een uur voor opening van het lanceervenster, was de toestemming ingetrokken. Het "papierwerk" was nog niet rond.
The reason, per source, is the license review process. SpaceX and FAA are still finalizing the flight safety analysis and rules for the SN9 attempt, and there's no need to rush through it for a launch today when it can just as easily be tomorrow.

De reden voor de vertraging is inderdaad een soort straf voor dat SN8 is gelanceerd, zonder daar toestemming voor te hebben gekregen.
"Prior to the Starship SN8 test launch in December 2020, SpaceX sought a waiver to exceed the maximum public risk allowed by federal safety regulations. After the FAA denied the request, SpaceX proceeded with the flight. As a result of this non-compliance, the FAA required SpaceX to conduct an investigation of the incident. All testing that could affect public safety at the Boca Chica, Texas, launch site was suspended until the investigation was completed and the FM approved the company's corrective actions to protect public safety. The corrective actions arising from the SN8 incident are incorporated into the SN9 launch license."
Inmiddels is de "ruzie" bijgelegd en gaan ze vandaag proberen SN9 te lanceren.
Statement from an FAA spokesperson: The FAA determined late Monday (Feb.1 ) that SpaceX complies with all safety and related federal regulations and is authorized to conduct Starship SN9 flight operations in accordance with its launch license.

1, De lanceerinrichting bouwen zodat Starship op de Booster gestapeld kan worden
2, Meer Raptor motoren bouwen zodat de Booster gelanceerd kan worden
3. Starship en Booster lichter maken
Ad 1.
Al maanden is men bezig met een betonnen ruimte naast de lanceertoren. Heel veel buizen in de grond die daarheen lopen. Het lijkt mij bij de basis van de lanceertoren te horen. Gisteren ging een enorm lange bewapening helemaal de grond in, ik denk voor de fundering van de lanceertoren. Rechts de bewapening (een koker) en links wat muren van de basis met de net geplaatste afsluiter.
Ad 3.
Alles van Starship en Booster is tot nu toe van 4 mm dik (rvs) staal gemaakt. Dat moet lichter: het doel is 3 mm staal te gebruiken.
De proeftank die van 3 mm dik staal is gemaakt, raakte te vroeg lek. Repareren (van een scheur) en verder testen:

The PPE is a 60-kilowatt class solar electric propulsion spacecraft that also will provide power, high-speed communications, attitude control, and the capability to move the Gateway to different lunar orbits, providing more access to the Moon’s surface than ever before.
The HALO is the pressurized living quarters where astronauts who visit the Gateway, often on their way to the Moon, will work. It will provide command and control and serve as the docking hub for the outpost.
