For me it happened during the winter. So noJust curious any of you turned on overheat protection?
This is what happed today. No evidence of outside impact. I have 12,000 mileage on it and delivered on Oct 2020. I requested service oppointment. And will see what they will say. I hope i will be under the warranty. Tesla insurance does not even answer the call this Sunday.
I have an update! I took it to the shop and they didn’t find outside impact. So they will cover the cost under parts warranty!Attaching pics
So they replaced it and resulted more gap and flush, detachment. I am like .... you could have not even built a Lego blocks when you were little.I have an update! I took it to the shop and they didn’t find outside impact. So they will cover the cost under parts warranty!
What did they say when you showed that to them??So they replaced it and resulted more gap and flush, detachment. I am like .... you could have not even built a Lego blocks when you were little.
No not really. Some companies like CSAA only cover it if you bought the extra windshield coverage. At least in California, windshield damage is covered by all auto insurance. For some companies (if not all) the deductible is zero despite your deductibles elsewhere. This is my understanding; please correct me if I am wrong.
Hmmm, I guess, but it has not been normal for me. Maybe I am just lucky. I've had 9 cars over 40 years and never had a stress crack on a single one of them.Stresscracks are "normal" in all cars, especially when very large temperature differences are involved.
They fixed it again. This time manager took care of it. Also about the windshield crack- they explained the sealing/Caulking was cracked under the windshield, which caused the windshield break. What did they say when you showed that to them??
My 2018 Tesla M3 now has a "L" shaped crack a couple of feet long in the very center of the windshield. Seems to be an issue with 2018 Tesla M3's.My 2018 did the same thing. Tesla replaced it under warranty.
You have searched forum-wide and replied to a Model-X specific thread. I recommend re-posting the information from this post and the one above it to a more appropriate place.BTW, how long is the warranty on my Tesla M3, in case they will cover it. I bought it new in Oct of 2018. I guess I should bring it down to the shop here in Reno.
I heard somewhere that this is a common problem with the 2018 M3, makes me think it is a design flaw.
