Ok cool. I ordered Black on Black. I have not seen a lot of people order Black on Black or White on White.

I'm up in the Bay as well. I got VIN yesterday. No updates on delivery, but the estimate changed to just 12/31. I got a text yesterday that said my car would be finishing up the last few days of the year which means today, tomorrow, or Thursday.

IDK. Elon just announced that they are giving 3 months of free of full-self driving for people who get delivery between today and Thursday.

Yeah I saw that tweet. Pretty cool. And pretty smart too - more people will buy FSD at the end of that 3 months

Heavily debating switching to inventory black... Just to make sure I get the supercharging. It'll save me thousands
I tried to get an "inventory" car last week and they told me that the one that was listed was not actually built and wouldn't arrive until after the car I already ordered. Which of course, made no sense to me at all, because in my mind "inventory" means available.

Hmm strange... Then why is it listed as an inventory car lol. Check your account though! Now mine says 31st at 2 AM with a option to pay.

I got mine delivered today. I did not get much time to inspect the car thoroughly but I found few minor issues just by a very quick look I will inspect it tomorrow and accept the delivery and update here. I could not connect to my SA even after making so many calls. Home delivery experience was not that seamless, I felt.

I also finally got a text for delivery ! As of now it’s set for 12/31 @2am, really hoping that changes

My delivery was scheduled for today at 2:00 AM and I was thinking how will they deliver it without my help but it did not happen at 2:00 AM, it actually at 2:00 PM. I am not very sure if 2:00 AM is some issue in the system or its just delayed delivery for me.

I got a text 2 hours before it left the Fremont factory. I don't know how can I book a service appointment before accepting the delivery, will figure something out tomorrow, not much worried about it.

Attaching few pics which I took quickly. I think it has new headlights and build date is this week.

I love this car so much, Its my first car and I don't think I could get any beautiful thing than this. Its hard to keep my eyes away from it.

Congrats ! I’m eager to get mines soon. When they do home delivery does a driver just drop off the car from a tow truck ? Or how does that work? I’m assuming all paper work gets signed and payments are made prior to the delivery person taking off ? I know when picking up at factory they document any flaws you may find and assist with service to the car just wondering how that works out with home delivery ?

For me Tesla person (not my SA) was driving the car and called me once he was in front of the society building. He parked the car on my parking location on request. He just took pictures of the car from all sides and left. Later I called support to report the issues and rep said I will get a call for help from factory and also assured me to not to worry about anything they will take care of it.

I am waiting for tomorrow to receive the call, I haven't accepted the delivery yet so that atleast they will call to confirm. Support mentioned you can accept the delivery tomorrow no need to hurry.

Good luck for your car and please share your experience. Have a good night!

I just did this last night. I ordered blue/white/sport last week. My delivery specialist texted me yesterday afternoon and said there was a black one that I could get on the 31st.

I talked it over with my Aesthetics Consultant (wife) and she actually likes the black trim on the black. So that’s what I’m going with.

Super excited! I didn’t consider black/white/sport combo before, but I think it’s going to look sophisticated and clean. The year’s worth of SC and 3 months of FSD is a nice cherry on top. I think I’ll name it TIE Fighter or Boss Baby.

I got delivery date scheduled for 12/31 yesterday from text.
The weird thing is that on my account page my loan changed to conditionally approved for a different amount. And my insurance was gone. Don't know how do I make my final payment still lol.
Does anyone experience similar issues?

Did everyone who receive home delivery wait until delivery time/date to pay off any dues ? It just strikes me as odd that they would ask me to pay before I even get to look at the vehicle.
I was set for home delivery, but I changed to pick up at the Serramonte/Colma delivery center last week as I have no parking at all at my location. I asked about the payment via the chat as the website FAQs said they accept personal and cashiers check at delivery. However, the person who called back said they only take cashiers check now.

I ended up just doing the payment online. Tesla uses Plaid which asks for your bank login and password (it lets you choose from a list of supported banks). It's not ideal as it's not even using something like Oauth, which means Plaid actually has access to all your online banking. It seems Plaid just uses that to verify how much money is in your account and to populate your routing/account number and customer info for a standard ACH transaction. I would rather I just enter that manually. However, I guess using this method Tesla pretty counts the payment as fully paid instantly without having to wait for the ACH to fully process (took a couple of days before the money was actually out of my account). I'm going to change my password as soon as I finish delivery.

Wow, great catch. You’re right. I assumed Plaid was using some bank-provided API’s but apparently not. They take (and presumably store) bank logins and passwords.

I’ll be changing my password tomorrow after delivery. Thanks for the heads up.

Ahhh I was thinking of using the online payment method I didn’t actually think it’s ask for our actual bank log in ? Thank you for letting us know definitely will be changing my banking information too!

Yep, it asks for your login and password. And it throws up your bank’s logo which lead me to believe that it was a redirect or an API.

But, it’s not. The info is collected directly by Plaid. Good thing @stopcrazypp was paying attention.

I don’t think they’d try to do anything shady, they seem reputable, but so was Equifax. Breaches happen, so the fewer people that have our sensitive info, the better.
