There is another very important thing to remember. Using a steering wheel weight throws your steering wheel out of balance. If you were using it, and had to quickly make a steering correction, you are likely to over compensate in order to make up for the lopsidedness of the wheel. Bottom line, please don't use a steering wheel weight. It is extremely careless and dangerous.

Elon has said his feelings on human input. Its why he's stated he didnt put in the sensors within the steering wheel itself that detect if hands are gripping/on the wheel, that other carmakers have. Also why he has the software configured to let you just use a finger to adjust the stereo volume to make the nag go away each time it comes on. He truly doesnt want your hands to be on the actual steering wheel long term. Next year he's creating vehicles with NO steering wheel.
