So no lounge here like Kettleman City? I will be driving through Baker tomorrow and will stop to take a look.
I think this one maybe affiliated with the DQ next-store, whereas Kettleman City is stand-alone.

To me it looks like it has 2 awnings with 20 under each awning with each awning having 2 sides it also looks like you pull in like a standard parking spot unlike most that you back in. that's how I see it anyway.I also only count 20 stalls in the most recent photos; are those an incomplete look at the station?
There are only 20 chargers there, but there are cement bases for 20 more from what I can seeI also only count 20 stalls in the most recent photos; are those an incomplete look at the station?
If that's the case, I hope that DQ has larger-than-usual restrooms! Two types of stall are important at a supercharger site.I think this one maybe affiliated with the DQ next-store, whereas Kettleman City is stand-alone.
Yep, thanks. I see now. There are only 20 chargers there, but there are cement bases for 20 more from what I can see
You are referring to the future much faster “back in only” Superchargers that Elon has spoken of?*Two types of stall are important at a supercharger site.
Speaking OT about restroom facilities, has anyone experienced the "neo-prison" restrooms at the Carl's Jr. at the Quartzite SpC? Serously. They must have gotten prison-surplus fixtures.
Thanks for your post, appreciate your involvement. There are only 20 chargers there, but there are cement bases for 20 more from what I can see
Yes, yes, yes (yes), yes or yes, yes and yes, and yes. Also, sometimes I ... how do I put this ... don't fully charge on a destination charger, which could put you in your "leave with 150 RM" situation example.Such a massive and beautiful site. Too bad it is so close to Vegas. On the way back, I would expect to start with a full charge (having charged at a destination location) and could easily make Yermo or Barstow, arriving at a low SOC and getting optimum charge rates as a result. At least if I don't have the opportunity for that, I now know I could leave with 150 RM and make it there easily (even at I-15 speeds).
was there a few hours ago and talked to a guy who looked like a foreman. He said they have been working 15hrs a day and it is suppose to be open in 2 days.
