Supercharger - Edmundston, NB

I am the guy from Edmundston. I can confirm that nothing has happened as of a few days ago. The Shell is the logical place for a supercharger, but perhaps there is additional logistics involved due to the fact the site being discussed is on a First Nation? Hard to tell.
In the US, some of the superchargers on tribal lands have gone up very fast, presumably due to the lack of red tape. If the tribe (or casino management, as is often the case) decides they want the supercharger, it gets rubber stamped quickly and opens within a month or two.

I live in Labrador and I am planning on driving to Fredriction using the Saint Simeon to Rivière-du-loop ferry to cross the Saint Lawrence River. I know there is a supercharger at Rivière-du-loop which I have used in th past. Do you think the Edmundston Superchwrger will be up and running by the end of May? It would make the trip a little easier....I have charged in Edmundston last summer using the Chademo charger at Shell which not a bad second choice...

I hope that one opens by then. It's the biggest gap between the Maritimes and ON/QC.

Just curious on what you use to charge between Labrador and Baie-Comeau. Plug Share doesn't show many options, and some are even questionable if the exist.
There is a charger in Labrador City, as well as a charger on Manic 5 then along Manic 2.

Is that road all paved these days? Always wanted to drive to Labrador but a friend told me a story of when he drove up there back in the 80s and it sounded a little too adventurous for a car as nice as a Tesla. He said it was unpaved and potholed and gasoline was even hard to come by.

I think it's unlikely this supercharger will be operational by May. Certainly possible but definitely can't count on it. The best place to find updates is right here in this thread.

Depending where you want to stop, there is a nice BB in Woodstock with a destination charger. They can cook you a nice meal if you call ahead. Of course it is close to Fredericton but it could make a.necessary charging stop between Rivière du Loup and Fredericton quite pleasant.

Do you think the Edmundston Superchwrger will be up and running by the end of May?

Unfortunately, it's very unlikely. If they start construction after the snow melts the site will not be ready until June. There's also no guarantee that they will build in Edmunston at all this year.

On the bright side, if you have a long wait for the ferry, you can recharge at the CHAdeMO station in Saint-Simeon and possibly skip the stop in RDL. There's also a microbrewery/restaurant across from the CHAdeMO unit near the ferry terminal in Baie-Comeau if you go that way.

A new 8 stall supercharger just opened in Saint Leonard, Supercharger - Saint Leonard, NB, so you should be totally set.

It looks like for now it replaces the one in Woodstock as well.
@antoinearnau What makes you believe that?

1. Edmondston is off the "coming soon" map.
2. Woodstock is still on the "coming soon" map
3. Saint Leonard to Lincoln is 246 km
4. Lincoln to Aulac is 213 km
5. There is still a "coming soon" for the Moncton area (presumably Salisbury), which would cut the distance between SC's to 100-125 km
6. Woodstock Big Stop Staff have confirmed they have been told they are getting Tesla SC, which would cut distance between SC to between 100-125 km as well.
7. With Medway still on the map, the distance would once again be 100-125 km between Woodstock and Medway and Brewer.

Seems to me that it doesn't replace Woodstock.

I said for now. What i mean is for the folks travelling from Québec to Maritimes it allows them to do it without making a L2 stop. This can be done with 1 SC instead of 2. I didn't mean that they are going to build Woodstock one or not.
