Here's the latest... Greenville is a go! But it's a Fall event I hope the mothership's supercharger group is picking somewhere good, rather than just anywhere...

It "is a go" as in an official Telsa SC location?

If so, Fall works for me!! Get that SC up and running right before the cold weather shows up.

Does anyone in his group have grant application experience and would like to help write a few grant applications for fast chargers to the U.S. Dept of energy?

If you find out how to apply, guidelines, deadlines, etc. I might take a shot at it assuming I have adequate time. Companies all over the DC Metro area pay me to write ridiculously complex solutions their companies can allegedly provide to the Government. A grant application should be a walk in the park.

Built Supercharger. Neighboring property owned sued. Suit still not settled. Tesla gave up and looked for new location.

Here is a TL;DR picture style

May 21st 2014 - Supercharger about half constructed. Lots of excitement. Only a few of weeks from power up we think. Champagne purchased.

LAWSUIT!

Construction paused

August 2nd, 2014 - Supercharger construction still paused. Nothing happening.

May 31st, 2015 - Equipment long ago removed and supercharger site has been sitting abandoned. Zombie Apocalypse.

July 25th, 2015 -Partially implemented supercharger erased.

Downtown just off interstate. I would much rather patronize small businesses downtown than big box stores and national chains at some strip mall.

Totally agree. I hope Tesla didn't screw things up when they turned down the city's offer of setting up the supercharger in the Richardson or Pointsett garages... Those would have been "ideal"...

You act as though Tesla has never placed a supercharger in a city before and don't know what they're doing...

Their model is private placement. This offer was a little different.
