I’ve overnighted at Copper Point and in Radium. Wasn’t much really near the Esso because it’s right on the highway, but probably more there now. I always went to the Level 2 charger at Kicking Horse Coffee, just because. Finally! Been waiting for years, my 70KWH battery can't make it from Canmore to Coeur delaine, however you spell that. Before the pandemic used to charge at the BC office, now I hear they charge you. Then walk a couple blocks to the pizza joint for the buffet. That's probably gone forever. I would also stop in Creston at the visitor info center, then walk up the street for a donut. This Invermere supercharger is gonna save me some pounds
My Mom asks when I'm going to visit, I tell her when this supercharger is done.
Sounds encouraging. Makes me wonder if the crew that did this site has moved on to one of the other Kootenay sites; Cranbrook, Fernie, Creston or Castlegar (even Revelstoke if they decide to add capacity there).Wasn’t able to snap pictures, but were the exposed conduit was now has a bug green electrical box, plus the meter is now installed! Won’t be long until this location is live! I will take some pictures tomorrow morning
Great news, thanks for the updates! Maybe they will wait to complete the paving before energizing, but it looks done otherwise .As of yesterday no progress on Cranbrook or Fernie. Attached are the pictures of the new meter and green electrical box. Hopefully the supercharger tech will be by soon to flip the switch!
Even without the Invermere site, I would have thought that Cranbrook to Banff was possible without charging in some situations (depending on weather. car model, etc.). Looks like it is around 300 km. Nevertheless, more charging options are better. Looking forward to your updates on other sites in the East Kootenays.not online yet, talked to staff and they are waiting on BC hydro and should be online in the next 2 weeks. I can’t wait, as without these online my trip to Banff took 3.5 hours of charging instead of 25 minutes total. The price of being an early adopter, but I’m willing to make it work.
