Since it appears that the first Las Vegas supercharger will be downtown, at 701 Bridger, I thought I would put together some restaurants people can visit in the time it takes for their car to charge, within walking distance.
Eat. One block north, southeast corner of Carson & 7th Street. Breakfast and lunch only. Tasty, but nosiy.

Big Ern’s Barbecue. Container park, one block north, northeast corner of Carson & 7th Street.

Pinches Tacos (yes, Spanish speakers, that’s what it’s called, they haven’t been allowed to put up a sign yet). Container park.

Le Thai. Fremont Street, south side between Las Vegas Blvd. and 6th Street. My favorite place downtown, try the three color curry or pad Thai.

Radio City Pizza. Fremont Street, north side between Las Vegas Blvd. and 6th Street. Lots of TVs for watching the game.

Right next to that is
Insert Coin(s), an 80s arcade/bar.

La Comida. Fremont Street, southwest corner of 6th. Where Elon and Tony Hsieh had lunch to discuss Tesla things.

There are also plenty of nearby places to get married.
Once you get west of Las Vegas Blvd. on Fremont, all sorts of stuff is in play, including
Hennessey’s (Irish Pub),
Mickey Finz (Fish Tacos and the like),
Heart Attack Grill (surprisingly bland burgers), even a
Denny’s. North on Las Vegas Blvd. you'll find
Rachel's Kitchen (American comfort food), north on 4th Street is
Nacho Daddy (nachos and Mexican with a full bar). West of 4th Street on Fremont, and you’re into the Fremont Street Canopy and all of the downtown casinos, so there’s all sorts of stuff to eat and do, including the soon to open Slotzilla zip line that can take you all the way to Main Street. It would be about a 5-7 minute walk from 701 Bridger to the edge of the canopy. The SC site itself might be a bit spooky for some, but one block north you’re in the bright lights, crowds and security of the Container Park, and west from there is no problem. Just don’t go east from the Container Park yet. It will be obvious which way to go. We believe the 701 parking garage will be home to nearly 100 Teslas, so I suspect the security will be significant.
If you're staying on the Strip, downtown is worth a trip anyway, certainly for the amount of time it would take to charge. Downtown is undergoing significant changes, if you haven't been downtown in a few months you will find lots of new things to see. And in a few more months there will be even more.
