Supercharger - Lincoln, NE - West O Street

Welp the chargers have been ripped out again. My wife went to the runza and sent me a Snapchat (which I was too late to save). But all the pedestals and concrete have been torn up again.

Wow, this is crazy. I do hope they finally open at this location.

On the last few trips across Nebraska, I have used the EA station a little further west on O Street, because it is a more convenient location.

I passed through Lincoln on Sunday and the Supercharger location at the Hy-Vee is in bad shape. One unit is taped together and half of the powercords will not stay connected and are laying on the ground.

This is an older site, so sometimes the older (looser) handles blow down in heavy winds. Hopefully, it really was only 1 bad stall…

Honestly the charging stalls are in an awful spot, sometimes the drive through to Runza goes past where the supercharges are and can either lead someone to getting stuck in the stall or impossible to pull into it, wish they would of put it nearby SouthPointe

Southpointe is slightly over 7 miles further South of this site driving wise, and more importantly 8+ miles off of I-80. This site is where it is to cater to transient traffic, most of it on I-80; just like the existing Lincoln supercharger. And just like the existing Lincoln supercharger (Hy-Vee), it is at that Runza because they now have a prior relationship with the business.

I've heard there have been discussions with Hy-Vee about a Supercharger at Hy-Vee centrally located in Lincoln to serve the urban market.
Given the dominance of single-family residences and public Chargepoint Level 2 charging stations in Lincoln, I'm not sure how strong the demand would be for fast charging for regular residential use though.

I stopped by last night and it looked to me like they have the cement poured for the replacement stall’s replacements.

Looks like Tesla updated Lincoln to Q2 2023, hopefully this time it comes true!
