Supercharger - Napa, CA - Factory Stores Drive (LIVE 16 Nov 2019, 20 V2 stalls)

The SC stations that aren't busy now, will be eventually, if Tesla sales continue to soar. Musk & Co. are still preparing for the future.
Depends where you are.... they are crazy between Santa Barbara and Salinas with frequent lines at SLO and Atascadero. Fortunately they are expanding SLO now so hoping that helps. No fun to wait in a 30 minute line when you are on a long drive.

Atascadero always makes me nervous. As does Corning.

I think previous poster is talking about the Devlin Rd. The ones at premium outlets are not on map or app yet. There are more than 12 stalls and clearly marked for Tesla only. I was just there to check it out. It has thicker v3 cables but only getting burst of 75kW. Talked to a guy charging a model S and he was getting low rate too. Also it’s not registering any $$. It’s not fully functional but will charge for the potential price of free. Still better than the other chargers there where a guy was asking me about it. I didn’t note what he was driving but he said his would take 5h and it wasn’t free.

V3 has thinner cables because they’re liquid cooled

You are absolutely right. Tested it out today (they have started charging) and only got urban charger rate of about 75kW max. Same as what I was getting at Walnut Creek last night at the rooftop of the parking garage with the AAA offices. Rather disappointing. Looks like the Devlin Road one is still better than this. But these ones are very convenient for me. Now that I think back, I remember the Fremont ones were much thinner and longer cables.

Well positioned so as to reduce icing, although i still wouldn't want to be near here on Black Friday. About half full arround 3pm, then we went off to find some food and circled back here after 4:30pm, when there were only 3 other cars charging. Lots of interesting shoppers driving past admiring the new chargers.

So far this has been a great addition to the Superchargers in the North Bay. Not ICE’d (even over Christmas shopping), fast charging speeds, and not super busy (weekdays and weekends). Very handy place to stop on the way in/out of Napa, despite the construction on First.

One weird thing - as a v2 Supercharger the stalls should be paired, but they aren’t labeled in the same way as other v2 Superchargers (the base of each pedestal doesn’t feature A1/A2, B1/B2 etc). Does anyone know how these stalls have been paired? I’m assuming linearly but Petaluma and Rocklin are good examples of ones which are not. The pedestals are also missing the support phone number stickers, so maybe they just didn’t finish them off properly?

So, found this listing for the same address on the Napa permit site:

eTRAKiT

Permit #E2003-0003

Type: ELECTRICAL
Subtype:
Short Description: (4) ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING STATIONS
Status: ISSUED
Applied Date: 3/3/2020
Approved Date: 6/9/2020
Issued Date: 7/22/2020
Finaled Date:
Expiration Date: 1/18/2021

There is an EVGO spot next to the current superchargers but that is 1 each J1772, CHAdeMO, CCS (3 stations) and those have been there for a while.

There is new fencing at the stoplight around the grass behind the Sketchers store and in front of the sketchers store there are about 8-10 parking spaces fenced in with backhoe parked inside.

Any speculation? 4 stations, maybe 1 V3 cabinet? Or do you think it’s maybe a Volta or Chargepoint or something else?

So far just looks like 4 charging stations with two cables each for 8 total stalls. And ABB fast charger cabinets. 6AGC073750(or 8) is the Product ID but I can’t find any reference to that on the ABB website. Similar IDs belong to Terra HP cabinets so looks like standard Electrify America equipment with no battery backup.

New Electrify America charging stations being installed... pretty dead at the center except for that activity today. Started at 140 kW before the taper.
