We have driven our MS90D 54,000 miles in 16 months and visited 105 different Superchargers in 24 US states. We live on a ranch about 50 miles southeast of Denver and have been to the West Coast 3 times & Florida twice. In watching new Superchargers being installed, about 90 days is average, but some have popped up in 6 weeks and some have taken forever. Local bureaucracies can sit on permits and inspection sign offs for months. The Laramie, Wyoming SC looked completed for two months before it was actually activated.
The process is a lot of trenching to run wires, with concrete pads poured for the various components to be installed. Next the SCs mounted along with the transformers, usually 1 SC for 2 stalls, the bollards, or actual charging units go in fairly early, but the utility transformer is installed by the power company after most of the other work is done. After that the Meter is installed. Once all of that is finished, then a Tesla tech will come and test all the equipment, and put labels on the charging units, usually 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, etc. and only then will it be activated. Tesla is opening new SCs almost daily now so they are getting faster and faster, but plan on about 90 days, all else being equal. Weather is also a factor.
We plan on touring your area in late spring.
