It’s a small fraction of the price of gasoline. The parking fee is insane....they have to make an exception for those charging.
Recent travels to Colorado Springs had me charge at a downtown super charger which was also in a multi story parking structure. When I exited I inquired about people charging and the response was "oh, you charged? You get one hour free". I have heard that other locations inside pay lots do the same thing, but dont know if thats a Tesla perk or the parking lot being friendly to EV's. With the spread of more "Urban" chargers, Im certain pay lots will become the norm. San Diego now shows a 16 charger building permit for a multi level parking structure right in the middle of downtown (6th Street and Ash). Yet to be determined if it will require paying to use it.
Thanks for the update!
The parking fee may actually address free loaders - when traveling past Riverside, I'd be willing to pay a few bucks for an empty supercharger.
If Qualcomm and SJC charged a nominal fee, they possibly could have become pleasant supercharger stations.
On the Tesla.com Find Us page this site shows as a red icon and is clearly stated to be open. Here is what I see:Site does not yet display on our cars. It shows as Open on Tesla.com map, but icon is gray, not red.
It says only 6 superchargers?
See upthread. How much did you pay for parking?
The Parking fee is $2.00 per 1/2 hr.
