Driving to Riverside in an hour - this site would be ideal if it was up later today!

anybody can confirm the place is open and running to supercharge the car yet?

If you guys are expecting the utility company to have this thing turned on in a matter of two days right up against the holidays, you're going to be disappointed. Can't rush greatness! This location is going to be so convenient and wonderful when the utility finally gets there.

Not open yet. Photo update for this location 12/24/17. Looks like 50/50 split on the 22 rooftop chargers for Tesla Vehicle Charging/30Minute General parking. Finally found the two first floor chargers on this visit.

This is great Leland. Thanks for the pictures.

Great pictures Leland, you beat me by a few hours. Construction looks done, with all wiring in place, but some construction debris needs to be removed on ground level. Open panels on cabinets on roof signal site is ready for final electrical inspection. Hopefully inspection can be done Tuesday morning Dec 26, which might mean Tesla could perform final testing and activation Tuesday afternoon.

I was there last night and doesn’t look open yet

Yes, getting very close, but not yet live. Only one person working today, Tuesday, cleaning up the remaining construction debris on the first floor. He did not know when the inspection would be, but it had not happened yet. There were two vehicles from the Riverside utility, but they were not parked near the chargers. Cabinet covers were still open.

I stopped by there this afternoon and did not find any workers there although the parking spots were still blocked off with cones and tape. The girls at the booth said they were unaware of any type of time allotment for Tesla vehicles to use the parking garage for free. It is currently two dollars per 30 minutes and they told me that it would be up to the owner of the parking garage and the property manager to determine any costs. Also, take note that there were tape on each of the chargers indicating that they were still awaiting a communications check with Tesla.

I just looked back through this thread but couldn't find any reason for the elevated platform. I would have said flood prone but it's on a multi storey building! Is drainage particularly bad on that floor or something?
The chargers are elevated because the electrical must enter the bottom of the Supercharger cabinets. In this case, the parking deck must have been engineered such that they cannot core into it for conduits. Therefore, all electrical must be on the surface of the parking deck and the Supercharger cabinets raised above those conduits. This is the highest I've seen the cabinets raised in this situation. The Cupertino install is also on an upper floor of a parking structure yet the cabinets appear to be less than one foot off the parking deck.

If the charger cabinet covers have been reinstalled, and the ramp onto the platform has been removed, which appears to be the case from your pictures, then the local Riverside inspection has been completed, most likely with no open issues. The next and final step should be test and activation by Tesla, including the Com test for each stall. I will visit today.

How much is parking there?
