I will be going down to Salt Lake City next week for Comic Con. I am going to take a different route down there, but I will come back through Twin Falls on Sunday the 27th, so I'll check on the site then and post pictures if there is anything going on.

"According to Kent McCarthy, engineering project leader in Research, Development and Deployment for Idaho Power, Tesla is expected to open a station in Twin Falls in October."

I just came though there last night. It was too late and dark to check for pictures, but I had dinner with my friend who lives out there, and he said he's still been stopping by to take a look a couple times a week and hasn't seen any construction started yet.

Now that Price UT is finished, maybe Twin Falls will see some action. One can hope anyway.

Shawn Barigar, President/CEO of the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce reports:

"The Supercharger Station at the Twin Falls Visitor Center is under construction. They started on October 5. Should be finished in the next 2-3 weeks. I haven't heard yet on the plans for a 'grand opening'....but I'm sure there will be one."

So it's 147 miles from Twin Falls to Tremonton.
How would that be in winter?

Chubbuck/Pocatello looks like an ideal place to add a Supercharger.
But then connect to Yellowstone? Idaho Falls and somewhere small like West Yellowstone?

I've not driven that far on a single charge yet but I can't imagine it would be a problem. I drive my S85 conservatively and can get around 275 on a 90% charge so 147 should be easy. Even easier with a full charge.

Idaho Falls is pretty much a requirement. You can then use a destination charger at Jackson which gives you enough energy to reach Bozeman or do a roundtrip to Old Faithful (did it this year on an S85).

So people should be looking out for Idaho Falls and then one of the small towns between there and Butte, to connect up more of I-15.

A supercharger in Jackson (or Moran), West Yellowstone, Cody, and Gardiner would be awesome for Western Wyoming and Southern Montana. Perhaps even one in the park at either Old Faithful, West Thumb, or Mammoth Hot Springs (or all of the above). Definitely one between Pocatello and Butte for I-15.

Perhaps I'm just being greedy as there is a return trip to my home town of Jackson in my near future soon as my father's parents are both gone now and they wanted their ashes scattered where his were, in Grand Teton National Park.

You can get to Jackson from Bozeman supercharger. I did it in a S85D in summer, with about 15% remaining at the destination.

Thanks for the confirmation! I figured it might be possible with the slower speeds but the elevation changes had me a bit worried.

10 days, huh? My guesstimate would be that it will fall approximately in that time frame when the construction is basically done, but they probably won’t have the inspection/testing complete to be able to turn it on yet.
