You should email Tesla and offer to clean up their Find Us page :)

That seems like it would be a waste of my time, since we all know that email would get lost in the abyss. My time can be put to more productive use here and by volunteering to do a project for supercharge.info if the powers that be are interested. But hey, I’ll email them anyway, just to say I did it.

I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes, as the people who already volunteer for supercharge.info do incredible work. I just feel it’s important to fix the inconsistencies when better information becomes available, and I’m willing to volunteer my time to do that part, at least for the North American region.

I’ll also mention that behind the scenes the supercharge.info editors (and others) are quite proactive about sending in reports to TMC to get the TMC Supercharger thread names to be consistent. That effort is much appreciated.

I feel pretty strongly that our spreadsheet match supercharge.info as closely as possible, including names. There are some places we deviate - they deleted some closed superchargers and we kept them. They "reopened" Ft. Myers, and we may decide to make it a "new" supercharger. I'm fine with having names match nav instead of findus. The challenge is I'm not sure there is a way to get a list of names from the nav. And I think Tesla may have a third database of supercharger names in their billing system - does the charging log always match the nav or findus? (I rarely look at mine)

I 100% agree on the game spreadsheet matching supercharge.info, and both of those should match the nav.

Charging log matches navigation. Find Us seems to be run by a different group of people than Supercharger Operations, and I don’t think the two departments do much coordination on labeling.

If there isn’t a way to get a list of names from the nav, I’m happy to do the ongoing leg work to rename sites as they open.

For what it's worth, I don't think the "permanently closed" locations have been deleted from supercharge.info's database, I just think there's currently no way to display them. I have a code change in the works that would make them displayable (but still not shown by default).

These are the ones that I can not find in the supercharge.info database any longer - which is why I thought they were deleted. I may not be looking in the right place.

I was able to find some of them:
  • National Harbor - National Plaza, MD
  • Kastrup, Denmark
  • München-Feldkirchen service center, Germany
  • Amsterdam, Netherlands
I wonder if it varies based on which supercharge.info maintainer makes the change. I don't have access to edit data but I'd say it's reasonable to ask the maintainers to reinstate them but mark them as permanently closed.

The "Permanently Closed" checkbox isn't merged into production yet, this is just a screenshot from me running locally. (Which reminds me, I gotta circle back and get the code ready for a pull request.) You can see that some but not all of the permanently closed locations appear on the map.

We used to match supercharge.info based on name, which was difficult with names changing. In 2019 we added the supercharger id from supercharger.info to our spreadsheet and use that to match. The ones I didn't find in supercharge.info I created new ids to use in our spreadsheet - I must have missed those 4.

I think Lone Tree, CO established precedent that new superchargers on the same property but different location count as a new location
Sorry to tune in late, but it makes me think of the Beaver 525 site in Utah that's on the other corner of a small building from the Beaver site. I don't see how those ended up two sites. Although Apple Maps shows them as two, and that's where I go for location data:

Oh, and then I read this:
Looks like they are adding MORE Superchargers there. Wonder if we'll have a 'Beaver 1050' site soon, at least they torn down the building I was talking about.

Yeah I disagreed with the ruling to call that a 2nd supercharger so I didn't want to cite it as precedent.

Sounds like we have a 3rd(!) supercharger in Beaver :)

Please vote on Ft. Myers by rating this post. I'm not voting.

"Helpful" is new supercharger
"Informative" is same supercharger
Consensus is "new" supercharger. Location has been updated based on @Big Earl 's map. Status is "Construction".

This new one is called "Fort Myers" and the existing open one is still called "Fort Myers - Dani Drive". When the new one opens we'll see what Tesla does with the names, and adjust accordingly.

Hello, and welcome. That is a pretty good start - you've been doing some traveling!!

You can find all your charging sessions (with dates) and the Tesla supercharger name here: Tesla SSO - Sign In
In the bottom right is a dropbox that will allow you to show 50 in a page.

For your CO trip with the loaner, you can estimate the dates based on when you took the trip.

From that you can compile a list with superchargers and dates, and we can add you to the game!

Hey all. I meet a few of you in Custer last week and went on a deep dive into this “Game” Is there a reason no one has made an app or a way to track checkins that veryify location before checking in? Is this something that interests anyone? If anyone thinks it would be a good idea I could bust it out in a week! ALSO how do i message someone on here. You cant get added to the list until you message 3 Mods (very weird) and newbs can’t message people (also cant change my picture)
