I know charging to 90% is reccomended and plan to follow that. My question is, will my chargtime, to 90% be faster if I set the charge limit to 100% and just manually stopped charging at the 90% mark?
Also the recommendation is not to charge to 100% and let it sit. IF you are going to be driving right after charging, the 100% fill will not be as detrimental as fillling it and leaving it sit.
Be aware, however, that if you fill to 100% you will not have access to regenerative braking until you drive down the battery for a bit.
If you are using a SuperCharger that’s fairly busy it might make sense to set it at 100% and stop it at 90%. That way if you are a couple %’s above 90 you’ll be okay but you won’t get hit with a SuperCharger idle fee getting back to your car
