My X was delivered in mid Feb. and the screen does seem pretty slick, although not amazingly so. I wonder if I was lucky and made the cut for the new processor? Any way to tell either way?
don't hold your breath on that one, I guess.Retrofit possible?
Hmm. My center touchscreen just got replaced yesterday for the yellowing borders. I wonder if that means the CPU was swapped out too?
Haha. Mine was getting pretty bad. An MCU upgrade would be icing on the cake.Let us know if the browser check took reports AMD Cpu.
Not 100 sure but I feel my center console borders might possibly likely but uncertain approaching a lemony color as well!

This is not yet official, of course, just the gut feeling.
Technically not a "AMD cpu", but amd64 which indicates x86_64 and is an Intel chip.Let us know if the browser check took reports AMD Cpu.

From my OA:
"We recently introduced some minor changes to the onboard displays in Model S and Model X currently being built at the factory.
It does not appear that your new Model X has the Intel MCU. Your vehicle was built prior to the minor hardware change. The good news is these changes do not dramatically affect the user interface or overall experience, and are unrelated to Autopilot."
Well, darn. I've got some thinking to do. Right now, I'm leaning toward considering the $2500 the cost of upgrade and cancelling and reordering.
