It's clearly a bug.
Tesla needs to add a "stairs" setting to the smart air suspension.
Pretty sure that will buff out anyway...

I believe that car was descending the stairs, not climbing them.

not the first time I've seen this sort of thing (well, maybe first time anyhow involving a Tesla).

a year or two ago at UBC, a local university here, there were 4 different cars including a taxi that accidentally got stuck going down the same set of stairs, all within the same 2 week period.
seems all the drivers all mistook a pedestrian pathway for a shortcut through campus. Since then, the university installed some of those fluorescent bollards at the top of the stairs to discourage such practice

So I'm thinking if this was an AWD model it might have actually made it.

I imagine if the car was facing the stairs but coming down I am not certain that the cameras would pick it up.....
