The two major obstacles Tesla would have to overcome are overheating and battery life, a supper car will end up on the track and it must be capable of at minimal a half hour of running at full bore in 100 outside temperatures. It would then need to recharge in less than 2:30 to a full charge.

I did not see a price so I was afraid to ask. LOL But I am sure it will not be much more than a TM Supercar. Fingers crossed ..... even though I am quite sure BOTH are completely out of my budget.

Does anyone think that the next-gen roadster/Tesla supercar will have doors similar to the Model X? I've read somewhere that Elon wants it to be a 911 competitor but with useable rear seats, so having doors like the Model X or even the BMW i8 could actually make sense. What do you guys think?

One of the big benefits from a scissor, gullwing, or falcon door is it makes it easy to get in and out of the car in tight spaces, the BMW i8 doesn't appear to help with that... This is a good concept to get passengers into a 4 passenger sports car..
