In absolute points, 2 Aug 2018. +$48,70, from 300.84 to 349.54.
The subsequent jump on 7 Aug was only +$37,58.

Last year, we got a surprise Q3, and then started the long and steep downhill not too long after from approx. $365 to $185.

Actually, not so: "funding secured" increased the price from ~$365 to ~$380, only +4%.

BTW, note that deferred revenue liability went UP. So there was around 800m of deferred revenue in the last quarter and now that is over a billion. If they did recognize some of the FSD deferred revenue, it cant of been much, or that would be lower. Caveat: I am a noob at this! Might be wrong.

All the hand wringing about FUD, like I stated, Tesla just needs to post a string of profitable quarters and all of the FUD disappears and the Shorts will go and find a new target.

Best part about this is that all that energy and effort delegated to writing/tweeting FUD will continue to have a diminishing return from this point onward.

I guess we'll have to wait for 10Q to figure out how Tesla managed to get to gaap profit on flat revenue. Looks like they have done excellent cost cutting - not only in manufacturing but also in service & SGA.

Sold a small # of TSLA @ $301 to cover a Tesla payment and lock in a bit of this gain. That's it for me until we hit ATH, though.

And here is direct transactional evidence that an increase in TSLA generates more Tesla vehicle sales!
