It was $14k last year and that was per person, so for example, a married couple could each have given $14k. I’m pretty sure our accountant said for 2022, the amount went up to $15k per person. Regardless, great idea. Wished I had considered that 4 years ago. But this has given me food for thought for future fundings, not just grandkids, but helping any family member..Hmmmm. The US gift limit is $16K. Let's call it 15 shares. If you do this when they are born, what's that going to look like in 18 years, or in 2040?
