Tesla with factory installed hitch

Did anybody take delivery of MY with a factory install hitch? Is it 2"? Any sensor noise when backing up?

Yes they have. It is 2" receiver with wiring. It comes with trailer mode. Not sure about the sensor noise though, someone who has it will have to chime in for that one.

The Y manual doesn't seem to have been updated, but with the X, engaging tow mode disables the rear sensors.

My Y manual shows the hitch on what’s in the car.

3500 lbs on both 19 and 21 tires and like 2900 on 20”

supposed to come with pigtail for brake controller.

turns off rear sensors and auto steer capability.

do you have a photo of how Tesla handles the tow hitch cover? I got an aftermarket one, but don’t know how to make it easy to remove the cover off

They didn’t do anything. Just the panel. The guy at the service center just had a screwdriver. I’m going to use plastic or add a knob of some sort with a Tesla badge.

Picked up my Y today.

Here's the factory installed 2in receiver plus socket.
Very difficult to remove the bumper cover without tools. I will probably add something aftermarket to the cover o pull on.

You supply and install the controller. Tesla has the pass through harness prewired to a connector.

And I should clarify, the X is set up how I described. I don't have docs on the Y, so it may be different .
