Is the price increase because:

1. The Aussie dollar has fallen;

2. Aussie demad for the car is quite robust, even too much;

3. Teslas all over the world have gone up;

4. All or any combination of the above; please explain...

1....yes, significantly
2....yes, but insignificant. Aussie demand is minuscule. If they
hit 1000 cars that would be fantastic. But tesla is selling or at least trying
to sell 1000 per WEEK
3....not apparent. Perhaps the opposite
4...see number one

I confirmed my P85D order this weekend. At that time it was scheduled for an October delivery, which I took to mean tesla time for sometime this year. My order now shows up as 'your model s has entered the production queue at our factory....' With an estimated delivery of late September. I am guessing all the Australian D orders will be sent down the line in an initial production run sometime in late May/early June for a September delivery.

Wish you were right.... But my bet at the moment is production from 1 July 2015...

Do we get our VINs next week?

Announcing their Q1 figures, Tesla also said, "70D has only beenshown in North America, and our all-wheel drive cars will not be available in right hand drive markets until Q3."

Not sure if that means they are or will stay on track, but it certainly doesn't mean they are ahead of time.

Still the results for Tesla are encouraging overall and I am encouraged by them.

I am in the same boat.....confirmed 1 December !!! No VIN yet.........as we already said, probably all the cars on the same shipment/boat....at least that is the story we are telling OURSELVES !

Glad to see movement on the build....sounds like they might beat their pessimistic dates

Hi Aussie Yank,

I am actually re-assured by your post. My Delivery Specialist assures me that we are all expected around the same time and to therefore not worry too much about when the VIN is allocated.

So yeah.

Still waiting though ;-)

Cheers
