[QUOTE No more pesky finger smudges on the door handle! Have been bothered by this a few times, including when I picked the car up originally (whoever drove it off the transporter left a nice big finger smudge on it.) Black carbon fibre wrap - was hesitant about this as I wasn't sure how well it'd go with the MSM colour but it looks much better than I expected. Some reviews complained about the chrome being visible - I think it works quite nice as an outline.

Also took off the Aero wheel caps and installed the Tesla wheel cap kit. Will save the caps for long journeys where I'll probably appreciate the extra efficiency. [/QUOTE]

That looks really good - the same colour I've ordered. Planning to do a complete dechrome but will wait and see what I decide about the aero wheel covers.

Hi all.

Proud owner of a new M3 Performance chiming in. Absolutely stunning.... & that sound system... Woah. & that tech. & all those clever, fiendishly simple ideas? Makes all other cars feel positively ancient. In my case, 3 is most definitely the magic number, as this is my also third EV. The first, was the Relatively sensible Renault Zoe, then the BMW i3, (which I kept as the family runabout), but once we'd got a dog, it was time for something bigger, with more range.

After wasting several months waiting for elusive Konas and ephemeral Niros, I, by chance saw a model 3 in the flesh, first hand, and was wowzered: Off to Brent Cross, the week before Xmas. The planets must have been aligned or I am one jammy bugger, but I was matched to a car that came in the following day, and I went to pick it up with in a week! Quite frankly, I was amazed.. so much more kerfuffle buying all other cars, ever. + I waited over 6 months for the Zoe, & 4 for the i3. The only hiccup in the process Renault Zoe and that Battery lease affair. Tesla were unable to take it as Part Exchange due to the daft Battery leasing arrangement the Zoes have. Luckily, the Renault battery Lease company recommended Drive Green They were awesome, picked up the Zoe, transferred the cash instantaneously and gave us a much better price than we would have received from anywhere else. Big thumbs up.

Picked up the car within a week, it was the 2020 model, as I have no froot Hooks or mat, and aside from the washer hose not being clipped in at one point, resulting in fast flap ticking noise over 60+ (easy self fix), no obvious defects. As an EV-nut driving away in it felt like the most natural thing ever, just... more. So much more. All the positives of electric, amplified. The power. The re-gen, the brakes all, just right. I haven't even needed to switch to chill as pedal control is just splendid.

Haven't done much to it yet. It just gorgeous, inside and out. Just a matt carbon fibre finish stick-on to banish the gloss on the centre console & A QI charge mat. Although I do plan to address the number plate holders. I'm liking the look of the vinyl stick-ons that some on this forum have done already, but am so far lacking the courage to hack at my shiny new Tesla.

This forum has already been an absolute wealth of knowledge, so am chuffed to be joining the conversation!

Looks gorgeous Skeewiff. loving the carbon wrap. Where did you get it from may I ask as it looks a particularly good job?

Thanks! It was actually a very easy install, as its not a wrap as such, but 3x solid abs stick-on abs panels. More expensive than a wrap but perfectly suited if you don't trust your own wrapping skills.

You can just about see the thickness of the panel in this photo.

A few photos of mine, most of the accessories are from Abstract Ocean with a couple from Ali Express. AO are by far the best quality. Really think the changes to the number plates look great; I tried to cover the front screw holes up with tape (after countersinking) but still shows through but only if you look very closely.
