I have the 18 inch rims and my app is recommending 49psi cold
Well In that case I then no clue lol I assumed lower profile tires had higher psi rating as I know my friends car (not a Tesla) that has low profile tires takes a higher psi than the standard profile tires did.I have 20” and the setting is 42psi. My MYP with 21” is also 42psi.
Unsure where the 49psi is coming from.
These are the specifications for the OEM Tesla 18” tires and they both say “Max Inflation Pressure” is 50 psi.I have the 18 inch rims and my app is recommending 49psi coldView attachment 903223
The app says 18 inchGo into the service menu and double check your wheel config sounds like you may have inadvertently switched it to the 19 or 20” rim setting. As im fairly certain they have higher PSI Rating.
Then i would definitely Submit a Service Request to see what they can do betting they can fix it remotely. The app says 18 inch
42 is more than enough. 49 would be around 52 in warm weather, that's crazy.
A summer road trip from Vegas to CA. Pressure will increase 4-5PSI from high speeds and high road temps.48 only goes up to 50 or so when warm.
I have 18” wheels and it says 42 for me.I have the 18 inch rims and my app is recommending 49psi cold
The sticker in the car is the recommended pressure to follow. The app should reflect but may have an error. If tire configuration is correct in service menu, check for any app updates that have not been installed.
The sidewall is a MAXIMUM pressure by the tire manufacturer. The cars sticker is what is recommended. Tesla does not make tires. The sidewall is the source of truth. Sidewall is only accurate as built from the factory (if even...since it's Tesla).
