Has anyone tried variations of [email protected]?

Such as [email protected] or [email protected]

The gamemaker has used "-" in an email address before so I wouldn't put it past them to include it again considering "[email protected]" may have already been taken.

I don't think so. I wouldn't expect to be able to make that jump (I personally think [email protected] was an overreach) based on no information. It is very likely that we just spammed some poor person's mailbox. And I would hope that whoever is putting this game together would have applied for the mailbox before putting it into a clue. My brother put a gmail address on his resume (back when it was new and invitation only) before actually reserving it. Then had to send that guy an email asking him to forward a couple correspondences.

We were only guessing that "Nick's Mission" on 4shared might be "Nick Kincaid". When you said you sent a PM to Nick Kincaid did you mean that you sent a message to "Nick's Mission" on 4shared, or did you find some other way to send a PM to NickKincaid@Tesla ?

Personally, I wouldn't try to contact anyone at Tesla about this directly. They might not have anything to do with this and you might be distracting them from "real work" if you did.
I sent it via his FB account.

Thoughts? Any way to use this to illuminate what a YC is?

Youth Club (or Ute Club depending on your region).
Yellow Card (band, or football/soccer infraction, or other)
Young Cannibal (I was thinking of the band)
Yacht Club
Yung Chris
Yellowstone Club (a club/neighborhood my dad so desperately wants to join)

I don't know YC seems like a tough letter set to make stuff up for.

It's been mentioned up-thread but TEG, Robert, AO, Doug_G, Bonnie, El Supreme and myself have all been contributing to this thread. The main noticeable absence is "doug" but he's the primary administrator and he controls the site structure so he's in on it insofar as he must know who's behind it. That's not going to to be a help towards solving the puzzle though.

So if someone has posted in this thread, then they must not know about it? And if someone is NOT posting in this thread, that person must know something?

I am much more suspicious than you, it appears.

"Nick's Mission" could be "Nikola Tesla's Mission", although in that case I think it would have been "Nik's mission"

Probably nothing, but there is a little bit of WAV-RIFF-chunk data at the end of the audio file:

The last chunk is used as part of a broadcast wave version of a wave file. lot's of references check EBU or just wikipedia Broadcast Wave Format - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
I think the only thing we can take from this is that the mere presence can tell us they made it with some version of software that creates the bwave variant of wave files; probably by default.

Something about this seems a little odd to me. Maybe just a coincidence, since it doesn't really fit. But it IS a YC with a link to Tesla

Been there, done that. Looked up YC Pan, and decided it seemed an unlikely connection.

Red equals 1.
Black equals 2.
White equals 3.
Silver is 4.
Grey is 5.
Blue equals 8.
Green is 8 as well.
and Brown equals 10.

Current tally is:

markwj: Brown 10
fengshui/TEG: Brown 10
PV-EV: Blue 8
Discoducky: Brown 10
Rifleman: White 3
NigelM: Silver 4
FlasherZ: Blue 8
Lloyd: Green 8
Pureamps: Brown 10
Bound466: Brown 10
Lyon: Blue 8
DrComputer: Red 1
Jgdixon: White 3

I make that 93 so far, but we might have (or probably do have) duplicate submissions, as people aren't saying what particular picture they submitted, so safest is to keep them coming. We're missing Grey, and Black (7 points total).

Based on TEG's list, can two people send in one each of:

Black:

Gray:

My concern is 5 browns have been sent in, but we only know of two which are not duplicates. That might cost us 30 points (bringing total to 63 needing 85).

Here are some more colors should people want to send some in to [email protected]:

I still think this is our best bet at the moment. The lack of response from nobiker would either mean (a) we got it right but don't have enough points due to duplicates, (b) we got it right but it is more complex than just random pictures, (c) the email account is wrong and dead, or (d) nobiker is not checking his mail.

P.S. From a previous zero-hits for google searching on [email protected], TMC is now the #1 search result for his address. Cool.

Yeah - I mentioned a while back (back thread) about "thebike" / Kent Beuchert connection.
At least the audio clip says "This yahoo is NO biker"...

I'd think that for this, whatever account/system we find would be created in the last few days, like the tesla-2013 account at 4shared was.

Presuming that my duplicate was dropped, I sent the gray you recommended as a replacement.
