Today I finally move to being a real owner....six weeks and one day from the date I ordered and confirmed my P85D.

it has been a bumpy ride and I hope to be as thrilled as the rest of you once I have it in my hands. I placed my 2013 M5 in storage last night to ensure I worked myself through any initial growing pains like remembering to plug in my car at night. After a few months and at least one long road trip I will decide the BMW's fate.

Full respect to those who waited for years for their cars in the beginning of the Tesla journey. At six weeks I had reached my saturation point having lost interest in hearing about all the fun others were having.

Congrats!

Yeah, I felt the same way about my Audi S4 when I got my first Model S. A week later it was gone. ;-)

Hey !

Just took delivery this morning of my #67685 P85D in Paris, France.
Superb service from our senior Delivery Specialist Adrien as always.
And my head is dizzy from a bunch of Insane launches :scared:

I picked up my P85D yesterday at the Factory and drove away around 3pm....app was working by 5pm. The gentleman that walked me though the delivery said they do a push update once per day and I should be active within 24 hours.

I wonder if I saw you yesterday at the factory as I was there to pick up mine also. I took the tour and left around 1:30pm though.

For me, I ordered on 3/7, confirmed 3/10, and picked up yesterday, 3/26.

You should probably delete that timeline before guys like gpetti or 3s-a-charm see it. :)

Edit: I realize with two posts and a February join date you probably don't understand why that's funny. Suffice it to say those guys waited a little longer than you did for their cars!

I finally lost my mind and joined all of you insane people. Mine is an inventory model that I will pick up in Dania, Florida on the 12th of April.

Absolutely stunning! :)

Just picked up my car last night. Had standard rear seats and a gouge in the interior leather, but that has been promised to be fixed. I can't believe how instant the response has been on the freeway. Wow. And I have owned a 2002 M5, 2007 RS4, 2010 S4, and a 2013 Boxster S. This thing is the Millennium Falcon!

So how did the rear next gen seat issue you have get resolved? I gather from the next gen seat thread you wanted the next gen rear seats but were not going to receive them originally. Did you end up paying $3500 or $2500 for the full front and rear set?

Got my P85D yesterday as planned!! deliver was in Switzerland/Winterthur where they had to deliver more than 30 cars at once where they normally deliver about 1-3 a day I guess ;). So everything happened at a special place (small castle) but due to very stormy weather I was more worried about all the nice cars getting damaged by a flying obstacle, but it turned out fine.

Configuration was perfect besides the missing auto-closing charge port door which we know is not being delivered to Europe cars (yet?). I mentioned this in the handover-document

Interesting was, the 21" where staggered not as some have reported in this forum. 265 in the back and 245 in the front, as it used to be with my old P85+. The firmware was delivered on 6.1 ..200 which was annoying at first as you guys have already had your first 6.2 experience. However, in the same night I got the new 6.2 firmware which is installed now and works as expected.

All in all a great car, and a huge improvement over the P85+ in terms of Seats, noise, handling, and of course all the TACC / auto-pilot stuff up2come.

Cheers
