Been lurking this forum for a while now but felt I needed to pitch in today as it seems I have a similar experience to others.

Ordered a RWD in white with the white interior on the 10th of February - the same day that the estimated delivery date went to August. Was prepared for the long wait and was about to buy a cheap banger to see me over the next 6 months - BUT now I see 'Est. Delivery March 22- March 31' - really struggling to believe this as it seems too good to be true.

Waiting to hear back from Katy on the website chat who said she will give me a call back when she finds out if the est date is accurate. I think my fingers are going to drop off from being crossed so tight 🤞
Great to hear good news like that1

Which trunk, frunk and sub trunk mats did you go for? Still need to get these myself.
Yep I took a while on these to.

Ended up with Trunk liner :

standard amazon edition, I quite like the look of this, and it feels loose enough to get to the sub trunk, but sturdy enough for me to sling my guitars and amps in with a non stick component. Looks good, and nice reviews and it fits 2022! I was tempted by the 3d maxpider clones, but, I think they're great but too thick of me. I just need something to protect carpet and make the space waterproof.

Ordered the rubber 2021 / 2022 sub trunk and frunk mats individually at ali express: Got to be careful you do get the 2021/2022 variant.
HERE

I just need something that is waterproof, and can contain the odd spillage. I'll be using sub trunk organiser anyway for cans and components.

For sub trunk (rear), I'm intending to keep the charge cables / cleaning stuff / tyre emergency repair bottles, and ring digital air compressor etc so need something to stop it all rattling about. You'll be hard pushed to find something more optimally sized for £15 than this:

50x32 cm x 27cm organiser with rounded bottoms. I tested on the sub trunk floor mat, as I need it to fit on that within the sub trunk... and it's cm perfect for size leaving a little wriggle room either side (about 1.5cm each side).

It's all personal preference though. These'll do me without breaking the bank any more than it already is 😁

Those look great - have you seen people saying that organiser fits under the boot lid allowing it to close properly? I don’t need the liner with that but also like the look of your choice of boot liner.

Would you mind sharing what you’ve gone with for tyre pump and repair? With Tesla offering callout/breakdown included with the car I don’t know if I need tyre repair as that may affect whether a garage will repair my tyre, but may be worth carrying.

Thanks buddy for all the recommendations. I hadn’t thought of the sub trunk organiser and it looks great! Ordered. Got loads of little parcels to look forward to now.

Try Tesla chat and see if you can get any update. I was in contact with Davido on chat few days ago and he said that even though I was not matched to my car yet, it will be very likely delivered in second half of March. Now today I have this update on website that estimated delivery is on March 22 - March 31. So maybe he had some info that cars will be delivered in second half for private buyers or north or maybe just coincidence. But he also said that usually when car is matched and VIN confirmed it will be 3-4 weeks to take delivery. So using this information I’m expecting my VIN confirmation next week as that will match estimated delivery. I guess our cars are on ship already and we will start getting texts soon. Have trust in Elon 😂LOL
Many thanks, I called yesterday, no one has really wanted to help as they seem to somehow know I am a lease buyer. Having said that. The chap I spoke to yesterday said everything has been completed and I had a delivery specialist(whatever that means) hoping I get a date and a car matched soon. Fingers crossed all goes well, im sure it will.👍

Ordered my LR in mid January and nothing yet. ALD contract hire though so not quite sure how the communication works.
In short, there is no communication. I have been waiting since ordering (with Tesla direct to be leased through ALD) in November and have had no information of any real substance. Occasionally, a TA will give you something incidental, but rhe usual message is "we will contact you nearer the time". Its a waiting ame I'm afraid 🙂

Thanks. I'd pretty much come to that conclusion. ALD tracker is showing 15th March but I'm not really confident in that to be honest. As you say, best just sit and wait. :)

Thanks for this. Does that boot liner leave you with a pocket on the side? I know some people buy a Velcro attachment to achieve a big pocket there but I’m wondering if that liner would do it for me. 2 jobs in 1 if so!

At least you have the advantage of the ALD tracker site as a fleet customer. I don't even have that. Once ALD took over my order in early January I have had literally nothing to go by. Happy waiting my friend. Maybe pass the time buying some accessories. There are some great suggestions on this thread 😆

Yeah, ignore the ALD tracker. They specifically told me it’s just a guess - and rarely seems to be an educated one.

From personal experience, my advice if you want information is to call Tesla with your RN number, but make absolutely no mention of it being a lease

I'll open my browser and get my wallet out :) . Hope you get some good news soon!

I tried that, they told me that they couldn't tell me anything unless ALD authorised it. Seems they knew it was a lease somehow. Might give it another try.

What?!?!

Whilst I’m happy for you (and I am really) I ordered my M3P over a month ago and my delivery has just been pushed back to May.

Honestly, this is farcical how Tesla allocate cars 😡
I'd assume they make far fewer M3P than LR, so there are not as many pre-built & loaded onto the ships. It seems to me that they build a ship-load of various specifications in the hope that people will order them before they arrive, then put any unallocated ones into inventory. Remember it takes over a month to get here from China, so orders being delivered in less than a month are already well on their way here, not custom builds.

It's likely a matter of unfortunate timing and specification, especially if you have ordered a very common spec that may be in a queue. There were quite a few M3Ps going through inventory last week, which probably didn't match your particular order. It's worth keeping an eye on the inventory in case one comes up that's close to the spec you wanted, then you can make the decision to change if you really want the car sooner. That's what I did when a LR came up with aeros instead of the alloys I originally ordered.

You're fortunate to be able to order a new car with so short a lead time as May tbh. You'd be in far less control if you order from pretty much any other marque at the moment. I had an ID.3 on order, which has a lead time of over 14 months last time I got an update.
