Do I do this with my insurer (Admiral) or a specialist?? I’m interested… thanks in advance.

Specialist insurer, I’ve used ALA previously and someone posted a discount code earlier.

Just check if you need it in the first year and when it needs to start, as most insurance policies will replace a car <1 year old. But defo worth it for the following years - but I think you have to start it within so many days of the purchase. Read the small print I guess on both policies.

Okay, slight panic/premature joy? I've just refreshed my app for the millionth time today, and all EDD information usually displayed below the car has disappeared.
General issue for everyone rn? Or is there something that may be happening behind the scenes for me???

I've just posted this earlier. I got insurance through direct line. They're the insurance broker through the Tesla website. You have to get gap insurance within 90 days. My quote for gap was nearly as expensive as the full insurance

Yeah same unfortunately. Let's put that on an app glitch then... Will still bite my nails until the 30th midnight I guess.. Then back to sulking for another 3 months..

This is interesting. Hearing lots of reports of just delivered cars feeling softer than anticipated. Wonder if these changes are now also coming out of China. Might be a reason all the demo cars are being sold off, or maybe it just makes economic sense

Maybe some of the new owners can start by reporting if the C pillar has felt lining as shown on the Rsev video, so the belt buckle doesn't rattle.

Yeah - but the gap insurance is valid for multiple years and in 3 years time would return you to invoice value (if thats the policy you chose).
I had a car stolen after a few years of ownership and ALA paid out giving me thousands back I would have otherwise missed out on. Would recommend!

Yes, I know,its just something we have to purchase. I've not had a car for 3 months because of my original edd(which obviously changed ). I've loved not having car payments, insurance, tax, fuel, etc. It's all ending tomorrow
