Yes, the ranger should be able to hook up a laptop and manually push the update to your vehicle.Also on .42 with access point next to car. While car is parked away from home I leave WiFi hotspot on for car.
The data uploaded is significantly higher than received. I give so much, but receive so little.

How do you know that? I don't ask to be critical but would like to know what your information source is.Everything since .42 is "test" releases, they aren't GA. You'll typically only get the test releases if you visit the SC for an issue and ask for a SU.
