Ya I initially waited 5 weeks for my white aero VIN, while I waited there were only 2 batches about 2 weeks apart.

Congrats! Finally some local (OC) VINs getting assigned after all the East Coast ones.
I have white/aero as well..
Probably unrelated but I got a call this morning (no VM) from Tesla Costa Mesa and called back, sales said it was probably for the energy products.. so I called back this time the delivery department and they pulled up my reservation and said nothing yet, but got the "delivery specialist" I'm apparently assigned over in Las Vegas, and sent him an email to ask for an update.. Let's see..
I received my VIN (145xx) on Saturday for my Blue Aero AEP bound for Portland OR.
I called and found out the email and address for my DS in LV.
I sent him an email Saturday, still no response.
I was able to find out from the local service/delivery center that my car status was “in production”. Also the car was able to be pinged and it showed up as being in the Fremont factory.
So kind a happy that it’s not a car that’s been sitting around in a lot for weeks. Gives me comfort that it will have benefits of changes made to the production line recently that will hopefully correct prior issues others have experienced (no sunken hood, softer suspension...)
So this probably makes some sense as to why my wait for a VIN was so long (four weeks) They actually had to build it.
I still believe that people get a VIN right away when they already have that configuration built and sitting around.

That seems true to some extent, but there aren't any configs with nobody waiting. So it also has to do with delivery center availability and/or space on truck availability as well.
Definitely. I live a few miles away from the Fremont factory and have been waiting for over 5 weeks for VIN. I’ll probably give them a ring by the end of this week if I don’t get it.
Not just not getting VINs, some people had theirs pulled. Seems like there must have been an issue with that production run perhaps.
Just refreshed for the 4,000th time today and my VIN showed up. I nearly dropped my phone.

Congratulations; It gives me hope now and I configured on 23rd and I'm in Charlotte.
Same dates and config for me, but VIN 145XX. In Wisconsin, picking up in Chicago (hopefully sooner rather than later). It's hard to believe it's actually happening!

I configured a white/aero Model 3 on 4/6 as well, in Portland too! Keep me updated. You and I are in the exact same boat

At least 3 East Coast soon to be White Sport owners were assigned VIN 137XX last week then taken away for some reason. This new assignment tells me they didn't remove the VINs for some parts/quality issue, at least.

VIN assigned today between 4-5 pm PST, #144xx. Non owner, line waiter 11 am, ordered 3/22; red Aero EAP.

On your main account page, it replaces your RN. when you Manage it, you see both numbers.
