Assuming i have no down payment to make, they'll probably just need a cheque for the first month's payment correct?
If they want anything certified or more formal than a regular cheque then I'll have some running around to do last minute... which is not something I'm looking forward to.

They just need a void cheque for the account you want your payments deducted from. They told me "Void Personal Cheque, showing your name displayed at the top for the finance payments withdrawal account."
Not if I request them to next day courier it which is an option since I don't trust Canada post. It'll be fine I'm sure. Still would be nice to have the purchase agreement ahead of time. Just spoke to the ISA and he gave us a verbal amount plus 200 for green plates.
