Local car dealers have almost-new used Y's available here in PA. They get them from the SC when someone can't pick up in the 3-day window. You definitely pay a premium, but you can drive it home that day
If they wanted to do that they could just do it. My neighbor had a Ford dealer add a $10K mark up when the car he ordered came in. They had 10 other people with orders on the same vehicle and they said they could get $15K more from them. So take it or leave it.
And all the dealers are doing it and the manufacturers can't do a lot to stop it except make idle threats. Ford is even threatening us if we resale our new vehicles for a profit.
GM to Dealers: Don't Gouge Customers on Hot Vehicles
Screw the customer, lose your allocation, says GM corporate.

I ordered mine in April 2021. EDD is July 2022 like most everyone else with a 5 or 7 seat combination.
I also ordered in March 2021. My EDD was July until Monday, when it switched to March 7-31. I'm hoping it's real, but I know it could get pushed back again

Was matched with a 2020 model on Dec 2020 and declined since I wanted the new model.

Got VIN assigned on Feb 15 and got car delivered on Feb 24!!!

You’ll probably be pushed to the end of the LR line since you took delivery of a plaid. Tesla doesn’t care whether you were the actual one who took delivery in the end.

Order Date 6/29/21 LR, Black Exterior, 6 Seater, White Interior, 20", FSD
EDD has been pushing back like everyone else. Last week on Thursday EDD Changed from July to 3/8 - 3/29 (no VIN) and as on this morning went back to July.
Anyone else have this experience?

Yup. Same thing happened to me. Was July 2022, then on 2/21 got a date range of 3/7 - 3/31, and on 2/25 switched back to July 2022. Frustrating ...
