62 degrees before I turned cabin overheat protection on, outside was 37. I installed a windscreen and roof shade before I parked up, doesn't seem to have made much difference!
Yes, it should appear in the Climate section of the app - well it has on mine and the temperature is down to 37 from 61. Assume it didn’t come on earlier as haven’t driven the car since last Friday, so had gone to sleep.
It’s seems to be more related to sun and car position than outside air temp… which is a contributory but smaller effect. I saw 62C a couple of weeks ago on a clear sunny day yet the air temp was only about 21c.
It’s gorgeous here in the Scottish Borders today… a breeze to take the edge off and only 26C air temp, so nobody risking death by going outside! Hotter tomorrow though….
I would hang a tea towel over the screen back and front. The temp of the metal can go higher than the car air temp if in direct line of the sun. Or move position of the car.
Found a use for the car cover today. It did a great job of keeping the cabin temperature below 45 without AC. Before using the cover the temperature had gone over 50.
I’m a bit confused by such crazy cabin temps. Surely cabin overheat is set at 40 for a reason? I’ve overheat ac switched on and it kicks in over 40. Why aren’t people bothering to use it? For a few % of battery why not use it ?
