Why are people’s insurance so high? Just ordered a 2019 Model X and called my agent to get cost since there was no way I was going to pay $2-3,000 a year for insurance.

It’s only $961 every 6 months, for all 3 cars. $250/$500 coverage, $500 deductible and $100/$300 uninsured.

I think location is can vary widely. I got a quote from Mercury and my Model X was going to cost $2200/year in Southern California.

$6000 is high, one of the highest i have seen on these forums for the X. Progressive seems good in California, not sure about Kansas OP but i would recommend getting a quote from Progressive. $1800/yr for both a model X and model 3 here, clean records for wife and i. 250/500 liability.. I have $500 deductible on X and $1000 on the 3 with full coverage.

The stated that work with Tesla to get the OEM factory parts if needed.
They quote me 100/300 and $1000 deductible for $4,554 annually. Still kind of high.
What is the good Bodily Injury limits $100/300K or 250K/500K?

MS 250/500 1k collision 300 comprehensive plus gap insurance 1,100 at step 9 (best) in suburb south of Boston. Working another company to lower, that represnts a YOY increase for a one year older car.

2018 MX100D: $429.20 for 6 months (Just renewed in February). Horace Mann Insurance, Multi-line discount, 250/500/100 coverage, $500 collision deductible, $250 comprehensive deductible, Uninsured Motorists 100/300.
