Wood/CF on console vs early cars

I have seen that on the Newer x's that they are now putting a matching piece of either wood or carbon fiber trim on the door of the center console. My question is do you know if it is retrofittable onto the earlier ones that have the plain black door without too much work and is tesla charging for that or upgrading by request for free (unlilkely!)

Which door are you talking about? The big sliding one or the flipping one the usb ports are under?

My 1526 VIN (March 24 delivery) has the wooden sliding door. My flippy one is still black plastic.

The sliding door was black in early deliveries. As always, "specifications subject to change."

Yup..I saw that on a floor model at the Palo Alto store....
I asked my SC if I could get my plain black panel "upgraded"...No commitment yet...

Yep, saw this a couple weeks ago when I was at the Devon, PA store for a Tesla Weekend. The demo X they had had the wood grain cover. Looked great. But with all Tesla has to do for existing X's I'm not going to expect it. I wish they or someone else would come out with a drop in for the plastic shelf under the tablet in the console. I know there is a door add on for the S, but it didn't have the Dark Ash option and apparently EVannex doesn't sell it as a single item any more.
