Wow that was fast...

I've created a site you can use to count down your delivery (if you are a bit excited like me)...

I'm gonna add a bunch of settings to it soon so you can tell it where you are and it will work out your average delivery time from that, but for now it assumes you purchased in the UK because that is where I am and my delivery specialist gave me the average delivery from the start of shipping for UK only.

If you guys could give me the time you had to wait from order to shipping to delivery, and where you live (country and state) I will add those too!

Tesla Countdown

For now it is very basic but I'll be adding a map with the route and where it is in the world (estimate) etc.

Went into production today, no email from DS or Tesla. Ive sent a few emails to DS with questions with no response.

I just ordered a new 60 tonight. How did you go so quickly from ordered to confirmed to receiving the VIN? My understanding is there was a 7 day waiting period before it's finalized. Interested to see if they come through on their delivery that quick.....as I'm in Florida too!

Did you confirm, nothing starts until you confirm your order

To clarify you can confirm immediately after your order the 7-Day Grace window is a option I confirmed my order a day after placing the initial order

I never found anyplace where I could confirm on the site, I believe you need to contact Tesla to confirm before the auto-confirm.

Did you contact someone at the store you were having it delivered? Or someone directly at Tesla?

In my case I just waited for the auto confirm. I wasn't aware you could do anything else until further into the ordering process.

I recall after uploading all my documents thats when the confirm button appeared. I didnt want to wait the 7 days

Finally received the infamous "Your Model S has entered production" email this morning. Which is 2 days behind from what my DS emailed. Best of luck to all.

What docs were required besides the drivers license scans?

Mine was confirmed same day as well. There is no required waiting period.

I still haven't received it but my tesla page says it is in production and DS said it was "early on, being painted, but coming together." Weird.

The button was there immediately for me??

I also received a "confirm your order" email.

Perhaps they are a bit busy with the whole news they made today.

So I called Fremont, looks like the 7 day wait is now mandatory, a change that took place in the last few days. No more immediate confirming....
