I wrapped. Messed it up the first time, and took a little while to get right, but I have no prior experience with wraps, and it really wasn't too bad.

Not a model airplane wing, it's a windshield sun shade.

With the 3m matte white wrap I used, it's a perfect match. The same stuff they sell for wrapping the center console, so that's why it matches so well.

Yep. I also used the 3M matte white, and agree it's a perfect match.

Yes, and you can easily buy OEM paint codes in spray cans:

Touch Up Paint and repair | AutomotiveTouchup

Could be a good thing to paint the dash cap to body color as well.

Finally done! Thanks to @TLLMRRJ for letting me hijack slightly his thread. I do have to say if this is your main car and if you decide to wrap or paint it...you’re gonna need at least a day to do. Paint will need multiple coats and some fine grit sanding. If you have an extra bezel it’s sooo much easier and swap out only took 15 mins.

Thanks to the OP -- after ceramic coating my car yesterday I pulled the steering wheel off, dissasembled, and then wrapped with 3M satin white. First time wrapping with vinyl but I have done simple recovering of dash panels in my old Porsche with Alcantara. Vinyl is so easy to work with once you get it warm!

I’m just waiting now for my console panels to arrive (ordered whit ABS overlays).

A semi-related question for you all...has anyone wrapped the door switch covers? Mine have some light scratches so I bought some CF hydrodip overlays for them....maybe I'll wrap one as to see how it looks before installing.
