I know how you feel - I use a real, genuine bunch of spanner smiths in Harpenden, near Luton: Classic Car Solutions. They have done work on my 3 and I have seen the quality of work they do and it all looks puka. They have even electrified some ICE cars.

Call it paint protection film. That might make a difference. It's the colour change wraps that seem to get their backs up.
