I agree. I actually think Tesla did not consider sufficiently the issues caused by regen effectively eliminating the use of brakes but that you really need them to stop occasionally.

Would be happy to pay for long life pads.

I had 4 TT’s before the MP3 and disks and pads were good for 30,000 miles and that was then being used well every day. I must drive like a granny 😂

I use the car plenty, I just don’t’ use the brakes enough ! I just find it a bit strange that you have to change your pattern of driving intermittently to try and maintain brakes that you hardly use. I might see if my local garage guy can get Tesla parts and see if he can change them out at...

I have just been told that I need new discs and pads. MP3, through lack of use, so no warranty. This is a real issue for Tesla’s. £1500 for the replacement. I did apply the proposed solution of switch of regen. and drive using the breaks every so often but that just did not work for me...

I have Quadracs (19”) as my winter tyre on my M3P and they are excellent. Snow and Ice performance is terrific (Aberdeenshire), wear is good and road noise low. I would use them all year round apart from the fact I really like my 20” wheels in the Summer.

Be careful. I blocked my M3P scooshers by putting too concentrated fluid in. All sorted by Tesla Aberdeen at no cost (great service). The technician there recommended Tesco own brand pre mixed, so as to avoid gunking up the tubes. Key message is get it ready mixed so the concentrations are...

So it was low brake fluid from the factory as described in the posts above. Topped up and brakes checked by the excellent Aberdeen Tesla Service Centre. The TMC call it correctly again

M3P in snowy Aberdeenshire. 19” BBS Alloys and All weather Cross Climate (Vreidstein) tyres have been frankly excellent. Low regen is critical, as is low temp washer fluid.

The Tesla service technician said it was better to buy the ready to use washer fluid as you then are less likely to over concentrate your mixture which can block the feeder tubes. He actually said the Tesco 5 litre ready to used stuff was very good .

I have and M3P and my wife has a LRAWD. I would be quite happy with either and love them both. I think the LRAWD is the better value and all the car you will ever need.

So was booked in to the Aberdeen service centre today and they looked at my scooshers. Both wiper arms were blocked so Tesla replaced them free of charge. Great service, very nice people and it only took an hour. As per one of the previous posts the thing to do is use good quality washer...

So I have noticed of late that my M3P windscreen scooshers are delivering noticeably less water to the windscreen leaving them with streaks. My wife has a newer M3LR and her scooshers work like mine used to (plenty water delivered). Any suggestions for restoring their original performance ?

Might be. I’m just looking for him to coat anything that can rust with some protection.

Appreciated. He can see what he can coat when he removes them. I have a M3 also and when it was on the ramp it did look a bit in need off some grease. I’ll take his word for it. Anything to make the car last longer.

Interesting comments from all. My wife sees the M3 as an Iphone with wheels which she just plugs in like her phone and she never has to go to a garage again. So she is delighted. No dirty petrol, oil or grease. Any damage is my or the insurers problem to worry about....

I have a M3P Black with White interior (pictured). The white is wearing well so far (7 Months). There has been a very faint blue transfer from my jeans on the drivers seat but the advice to use baby wipes works and it is restored to "as new". So far so good.
