    $300 Key

Just wanted to share this. We have a 2002 Toyota Corolla Fielder. It has a key with a button to remotely lock and unlock the car. More than a year ago the remote access stopped working. We thought, Okay probably needs a new battery. Leonie went to Manawatu Toyota where we get our car...

    First stage reusability questions

    Tesla at the America's Cup

It is probably a bit late to ask this, but is Telsa doing anything to promote itself around the America's Cup? I would have thought it might have been a good idea to have some presence there. I know the Tesla does not need to promote themselves to generate demand at this moment in time; I...

Will Tesla look at going further towards vertical integration? What could they do? I know a while a go Elon was complaining about the cost of aluminium. What about batteries? Could they build their own factory and manufacture them? Should they?

Right-Hand Drive, why such a wait?

With the announcement of European pricing came the news that deliveries of right-hand drive vehicles for the UK market (and presumably Hong Kong and Aussie/NZ) would begin Late 2013. This would mean that virtually anyone currently(as of 01-01-13)that has a reservation for a left-hand drive...

Model S quicker than 0-60 time suggests

I have been thinking about how fast the Model S seems, and the drag race against the M5. I believe that the 0-60 times are misleading. A 0-60 time is a measure of how long it takes for a vehicle to reach 60mph. It is not a measure of distance. The Model S may be quicker off the line than...

How quiet is the Model S?

I was wondering how quiet the Model S is compared to other high end cars. It is the quietest car I have ever driven though I do not have much to compare it with. Are there other cars out there as quiet in the cabin? I would think that the Model S might win out when accelerating. Comments please.

I was walking my dogs and met a man with (probably) his grand daughter on her bike. He was quiet but the girl said hello and asked me if I was having a nice day. She was about 7 years old, very well spoken, articulate, and friendly. After our brief conversation I started to wonder: What does...
