"New" Sources of Tesla 'OEM,' Tesla-like, and/or Third-Party CCS1 Adapters

Ordered adapter from Harumio last week (Thurs $309usd incl shipping..gave userid and passwd). Got invoice from Tesla Korea showing it was ordered in my name. This a.m. (Wed just after midnight) got email from Tesla Korea saying order cancelled. Right then, 1am, looked at Soom Lab Korea thinking...

    The Cabot Trail

Excellent. It is a gorgeous part of the country. I certainly could have used more than 2 days there, to do some of the hikes. The Parks Desination chargers certainly make a difference. I will also add, that if you were in an ICE car, you would also have to plan, because I did not see many places...

My referral miles experience and the interesting solution.

Wow, I thought it was the "car" reward that was canned, but my lootbox says "we are not offering referral awards until further notice" Wow... I got in under the wire!, and interestingly, my miles "expiry date" is Aug 14, 2022 (1 year after my delivery date!)

Touring Cape Breton Island, in Nova Scotia

Thanks again for the offer of the CHAdeMO adapter. As you probably saw, I successfully toured the Cabot Trail, using the parks "destination" chargers, and had no range anxiety. Up to the time of departure from Toronto, I was considering your adapter offer. Turns out it was not needed, all I...

    The Cabot Trail

Using advice from here, I successfully drove the Cabot Trail on Sept 4/5. I charged to 100% at Enfield (outside Halifax), then charged at Baddeck, Ingonish, Beulach Ban Falls (parked and used Tesla Destination charger) here and walked the 1km back to my cabin. Car charged to 100% overnight, no...

My referral miles experience and the interesting solution.

I don't think the solution to my problem referral link has been specifically mentioned. I thought it an interesting/slimely/creative/underhanded solution to my problem. I'll try to be brief: - May 21 - Thinking of ordering, my SA (from a test drive) emails to say "feel free to send me your...

    Only getting 6kW from a 30kW charger!

That I know about. And was trying to avoid the 34km 1 way trip. I've relented and will do it in the a.m. Thank you all for helping clarify the situation. I'll be looking forward to Tesla's CCS adapter, since I think CHAdeMO is on the way out

    Only getting 6kW from a 30kW charger!

Yes.. using j1772 adapter. And confusing 6kW in 1 listing with 30amp in another listing. I was told there was a really fast charger in town, and when I looked it up. It was a Flo with CCS and CHAdeMO and I have neither adapter
  15. JulesVerne

    Only getting 6kW from a 30kW charger!

You are right. The Gerard Hall Flo listing on Plugshare says 6.2kW, and the listing for the Public Library says 30amp. So I was equating those to be the same unit of measure.. and they aren't. ..sorry for the confusion. I'm only 2weeks+ into this ownership and still learning. So you are saying...

    Only getting 6kW from a 30kW charger!

I'm in Halifax,NS on a roadtrip from Toronto. Arrived in town with 18% soc, and am down to 12%. Today I visited 3 charging locations. 1 a Flo 6kW charger, and I was getting the promised 6kW. After about 15 minutes, and $0.36. I unplugged to try a faster charger.. I got to a Dalhousie U., Eaton...

Agree that the 1 pedal is one of the biggest changes you have to make. Going back to my prius, I have to remember to go to the brake. Moderating the Regen with a little gas is something to learn as well..

Some get rid of the silver hub, and use tape or rim protectors on the rims, but I think this is a good compromise.

Model Y delivery anxiety? The wait is worth it

    Canada Waiting Room

Yes, I blacked them out myself. Plasti-dip, Matte Black. I hope it lasts. Taped up all the "glass grey" and center parts on the Hubs (be patient, that takes a while). Used alcohol to prep the silver parts. I thought 2 cans would do it, but after 2 cans, some sections had a grainy texture (maybe...
