I haven't had to do an inspection yet since the car is brand new. The sticker was just 1 yr since the car is technically not sold in Texas. However, based on your reply i'm assuming you have the windshield tinted. Did the place at Parker & Alma give you any trouble about that?

FYI looks like Tesla is now offering insurance in TX. They offered me $138/month for 100/300/100 with $1000 comprehensive and collision deductibles. What a horrendous rate for crap coverage. They got a long ways to go to beat Progressive.

you don't have to give tesla your bank account username/password through plaid. when the plaid screen shows up, hit the x cancel, it'll show you another page where you can simply add the account & routing #s, that's how i made the payment.

Look at the other side of your tag. Tesla issues two 30 day tags in Texas, printed double side though.

I got mine within 2 weeks. The first temp tag hadn’t even expired. Took 10 minutes at the local tax assessor office to pay taxes and get permanent plates. No Title Girl or anything was needed, I didn’t fill out any forms either. Tesla packet includes everything, you just take it to the tax office.

I picked up at Plano location and spoke with Tesla prior to pickup day. There was no option to hand over the check after inspecting the car. The payment had to be made day prior to delivery otherwise they said they would reallocate the car to the next match.

Car came with a stick on front license plate holder. I elected to use quick bandit in lieu of sticking something on the front bumper permanently. Quick bandit allows me to keep the car cleaner and provides the flexibility to remove the front plate easily when I want to.

I made all payment (down payment as well as mailing the check from DCU) the day before delivery day.

My 2 cents. I think you would be better off buying the TWC yourself incase you have to deal with any warranty issue. As a Tesla owner you would have better luck dealing with Tesla (not that it’s a pleasant experience for anyone but odds are in your favor vs the electrician). Plus no need to pay...

Frisco is still enforcing 2017 NEC, they are yet to adopt 2019. I just had Nema 14-50 installed without gfci and it passed city inspection. I had spoken with the chief electrical inspector prior to making my decision.

100% agree, only additions I would make is ensure 14-50R outlet is industrial grade like a Hubbell, do not use a Leviton. Depending on length of wire run you can get away with #8 but I would highly recommend a #6 at a minimum.
